Nick Haslam
Nick is a Master Mariner and Managing Director of LOC, Singapore and also an approved Special Casualty Representative (SCR).
He specialises in major marine casualties, particularly salvage and wreck removal, where he has attended a number of high profile cases in which the SCOPIC Clause has been invoked. He has also acted on casualty investigations including groundings, strandings, sinkings, total losses, collisions, and cargo loss, contamination or damage.
He has prepared reports and provided opinion for arbitration and court hearings. He has been appointed as expert witness in the United Kingdom and Chile, and has acted as a technical co-mediator at mediation in the United Sates.
He also has extensive offshore warranty survey experience, including towage studies and approvals.

Peter Holloway
Peter is a Master Mariner, a Director of LOC Group and Regional Director, Europe & Africa.
He spent 25 years at sea, 17 of them in command. He specialises in shipping casualties and has acted on a number of significant and high profile incidents involving salvage and wreck removal. He is on the approved panel of Special Casualty Representatives (SCR).
He has prepared reports for and appeared as expert witness in Courts in London, Mumbai, Aix en Provence, Jersey, Eire and Newcastle and in a number of arbitrations on cases including charter party disputes, unsafe port investigations, pollution, salvage and Personal Injury.
He has extensive energy project management experience in the offshore and alternative energy sector involving the installation of FPSOs, SBMs, and fixed offshore structures.

David Pockett
David is a Consultant to LOC and is based in Brazil. He was a founder director of LOC and, until March 2007, CEO of the LOC Group. He is a Master Mariner and specialises in salvage and wreck removal operations, towage and charter party disputes, particularly unsafe berth and port investigations.
David is a Special Casualty Representative (SCR) and has attended numerous marine casualties world-wide, many of a complex nature, in a consulting capacity. He has provided expert evidence for various parties involved in salvage or wreck removal operations.
He has also given expert evidence in various other cases within his area of expertise in the Royal High Court of Justice and commercial arbitrations in the UK, as well as other jurisdictions including USA & Malaysia.

John Simpson
John is a Master Mariner and Director of LOC, Hong Kong. He is also a Special Casualty Representative (SCR) and has given expert evidence in Court.
He has had extensive experience as a marine pilot and has provided expert advice on many types of marine incidents where the manoeuvring of vessels and tugs, navigation in confined waters and under-keel clearance have been particular issues. He has also carried out investigations into oil spills, groundings and collisions.
His attendances, during a number of high profile and complex wreck removal operations, on behalf of P & I clubs and owners, have also involved oil and cargo removal, salvage and disposal operations.
Other work has included carrying out marine warranty surveys on heavy lift and specialist transports and acting as client representative for FPSO installation and subsea pipeline tie-ins.

Jon Walker
Jon is a Master Mariner, a Director of LOC Group and Regional Director, Asia and Australia. He specialises in casualty investigations and related disputes and litigation.
He has acted on behalf of P& I clubs, Admiralty lawyers and insurance interests on matters including loss of cargo, cargo damage, pollution, and speed/angle of blow investigations. He is an approved Special Casualty Representative (SCR) and has attended major salvage and wreck removal operations in the Asia Pacific region, including those where the SCOPIC Clause was invoked. He has been appointed as expert witness in many arbitration/court proceedings in Malaysia, Australia, South Korea and Singapore.
He has a strong seagoing background on product/chemical tankers and has extensive offshore marine warranty survey experience as project manager and attending surveyor.

Paul Voisin
Paul is a Master Mariner and Associate with LOC Miami. He has over 30 years’ seagoing experience, the last 15 years being in command of cape size bulk carriers, container vessels, heavy lift/multi purpose vessels and seismic survey vessels.
Paul is an appointed Special Casualty Representative (SCR) at Lloyd’s and since joining LOC in 2005 has been engaged on a variety of marine casualty work and in particular major salvage and wreck removal operations worldwide.
He has also prepared expert reports on total losses, groundings, unsafe berths, bulk carriers and cargoes and container loss claims. He has also acted as marine warranty surveyor for various heavy lift operations.
He is a Fellow of the Nautical Institute, an Associate Fellow of the Royal Institute of Navigation and has contributed written papers, lectures and seminars to the industry in a variety of subjects.

Nicolas White

He has 21 years’ experience as a marine consultant based in Egypt, Europe, Indonesia and Singapore, and specialises in marine casualties, having attended a number of salvage and wreck removal cases.
He has also acted on behalf of P&I Clubs, Admiralty Lawyers and insurance interests on matters including, collisions, groundings, loss of cargo, cargo damage and fixed object damage.
He has prepared reports and provided opinion for Arbitration / High Court hearings and has acted as Expert Witness in Australia and Singapore.
