Marine Consultant

A vacancy exists for a marine consultant to join our team in our Aberdeen office.
Working for a number of clients ranging from oil majors to vessel operators to insurance companies and legal entities, typical work will include:
- Offshore Vessel Assurance (including DP operations and maintenance)
- Engineering, Warranty and Project Operations
- MOU Operations (Jack up and Semi submersible rig moving operations)
- General Marine Consultancy
- Marine casualty and incident investigations
- General Cargo Surveying
- HSSE Consultancy
- Participation at a senior level in risk assessment meetings
- Holder of STCW95 (Deck) COC as Master or Chief Mate
- Lower certificate may be considered if candidate has extensive experience in rig move operations.
- Experience in offshore (North Sea) marine operations such as rig moving on vessels and/or rigs
- Ability to prepare procedures and detailed reports on marine operations
- Ability to work as part of a team and capable of working unsupervised
- Serving as barge engineer (or equivalent) or OIM on semi-submersible or jack-up Mobile Offshore Units (MOU)
- Experience as tow master or marine representative on North Sea rig moving operations
- Offshore marine consultancy
- Vessel assurance including general marine inspections (IMCA, CMID)
- DP operations/certificate
- LOLER
- PUWER
