Master Mariners & Marine Engineers

We currently seek Master Mariners and Marine Engineers who wish to pursue a rewarding career ashore as a marine consultant. Applicants should preferably possess a Class 1 Certificate of Competency and have recent experience serving as Master or Chief Engineer or in a senior role on offshore support vessels. Applications from candidates who have held senior positions at sea and those with experience in marine surveying or consulting, are also welcome.

Working for a number of clients ranging from oil majors to vessel operators to insurance companies and legal entities, typical work will include:

• Offshore Vessel Assurance (including DP operations and maintenance)
• Engineering, Warranty and Project Operations
• MOU Operations (Jack up and Semi submersible rig moving operations)
• General Marine Consultancy
• Marine casualty and incident investigations
• General Cargo Surveying
• HSSE Consultancy

As a consultant at LOC you would expect to undertake challenging assignments and be prepared to travel overseas and offshore. You would have a high degree of client contact and consequently successful candidates will have very good communication and reporting skills.
