Master Mariners and Marine Engineers

Rio de Janeiro

We currently seek Master Mariners and Marine Engineers who wish to pursue a rewarding career ashore as a marine consultant. Applicants should preferably possess a Class 1 Certificate of Competency and have recent experience serving as Master or Chief Engineer or in a senior role on offshore support vessels. Applications from candidates who have held senior positions at sea and from those with experience in marine surveying or consulting, are also welcome.

Working for a number of clients ranging from oil majors to vessel operators to insurance companies and legal entities, typical work will include:

• Offshore Vessel Assurance (including DP operations and maintenance)
• Engineering, Warranty and Project Operations
• MOU Operations (Jack up and Semi submersible rig moving operations)
• General Marine Consultancy
• Marine casualty and incident investigations
• General Cargo Surveying

Brazilian citizenship or permanent residency is a requirement for these positions.

As a consultant at LOC you would expect to undertake challenging assignments and be prepared to travel overseas and offshore. You would have a high degree of client contact and consequently successful candidates will have very good communication and reporting skills.
