Peter has extensive experience in lubrication & fuel requirements for vessel machinery, including technical troubleshooting and problem resolution related to marine lubricant and fuel performance and operation.  Four years with a consulting firm, performing Marine Casualty Investigation as Principal Surveyor, Peter was involved in all aspects of Surveying, including Hull & Machinery, P&I Surveys, JH 2006 Warranty Surveys and with special responsibility for fuel and lubricant related matters. Additionally, he has assessed damages to different types of hulls of yachts and supervised their repairs.

Having been a surveyor with a high quality British shipping register, he is an able ISM & ISPS auditor with extensive practical experience of verification audits, International Labour Organisation and Flag inspections of various ship types including commercial yachts.  He has also carried out Flag casualty investigations.

Kirk was a licensed pilot and previously worked as Deputy Harbour Master for a small port on the UK south coast.  He has a working knowledge of the Port Marine Safety Code (PMSC) and has dealt with MCA coded small commercial vessels.

During his time as Master he was involved in the rescue of shipwrecked persons in the Caribbean and also a marine casualty in the Far East.  He is a proficient ship handler and held Pilot exemptions for ports in the Persian Gulf and Europe on geared container vessels.

This acquisition combines LOC Middle East and SCUA Middle East to form a team of nearly 30 staff, including marine engineers, master mariners, naval architects and civil/structural engineers with wide-ranging skills and knowledge

Deepak has experience in P&I surveys including pre-entry condition surveys, cargo claims, damage surveys and valuation/repair estimates.

Previously he has acted as owner’s rep during the construction and delivery of DP Class I and II offshore vessels and satisfactorily managed numerous ocean towages including demolition towages and multiple tows.

He has worked with Safmarine, Tall Ships Shipping and Maersk Management.  His seagoing experience in both global and regional specific trading includes large size Container Container vessels, general bulk carriers, general cargo and multipurpose vessels.  Craig’s career at sea spanned for 18 years, five of which were in the capacity as Master with Maersk Container Lines.  During his time as Master he held command on all 8 classes of ships that Maersk has in its fleet ranging, from GRT 27000 to GRT 87000.

Since 2000 Craig has been carrying out survey work for local companies in South Africa, including P&I surveys, on and off hire surveys, draft surveys, bulk cargo claims and accident and investigation claims. During his surveying career he has worked as Super Cargo for Eskom and Gas Turbine Projects and Marine Superintendent for Murray and Roberts during the dry-docking of two of their two tugs.

Craig joined LOC in 2013 and is undertaking a range of vessel surveys, discharge surveys and incident investigations

By 1990 Clive came ashore to work as Marine Superintendent undertaking work as trials Master for two local shipyards. Later he moved to Marine Management & Engineering Ltd as Marine Operations Manager running a fleet of AHTS vessels in the North Sea and adjacent waters whilst continuing with marine related project works.

With LOC he has acted as Marine Representative on a number of projects and has undertaken a large number of vessel surveys.

He has held Pilotage Exemption Certification for the Humber, Milford Haven, Zeebrugge and Dublin completing all pilotage transits and berthing / unberthing manoeuvres.

In command, Jamie was responsible for the onboard investigation and reporting for cargo damage and claims, passenger incidents and accidents.  He attended drydock / refit periods annually from 2006 to 2012 inclusive at leading European Shipyards.

Jamie has completed P&I Club condition surveys, project cargo inspections and vessel pre-purchase inspections.  He has acted as Marine Warranty Surveyor for offshore construction projects, loadouts and sailaways, as well as surveys for a variety of vessels including heavy lift, semi-submersible heavy load, tugs, supply vessels and cargo barges.

He has been involved in numerous H&M investigations and claims, accident / incident route cause analysis, as well P&I and cargo survey work. Richard is a qualified ISM auditor with extensive experience in ship audits and inspections, including pre purchase inspections. He also has detailed knowledge of oil and chemical tanker operations and the SIRE and CDI vetting systems
